Whole Exome Sequencing (Somatic)

What is WES?

Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) is a genetic test that analyses all the protein-coding regions of your genome, called exons. Although exons make up only about 1–2% of the genome, they contain around 80% of disease-causing variants.

Benefits of WES

• Identify rare disease-causing variants
• Guide accurate treatment based on latest findings
• Predict risk of future diseases
• Support reproductive planning and carrier screening
• Enable early interventions and family counseling

Who Can Benefit from WES?

• Children with undiagnosed genetic conditions
• Families with a history of hereditary disorders
• Patients with rare or complex symptoms
• Couples planning a pregnancy
